Altshul Newsletter:
Community Announcements Submission Guidelines

 

The goal of the community announcements section of the newsletter is to provide a space for Altshul members to share events they are involved in that will be of interest to the general Altshul community and that build community through shared access to opportunities to engage in Jewish prayer, education, culture and communal action.

Requirements for Community Announcement Submissions:
The announcement must be submitted by an Altshul member with a connection to the event. Altshul will not post announcements submitted by unaffiliated individuals or institutions.

Non-Political Endorsements: Altshul will not allow any announcements that explicitly endorse or oppose a political party or candidate for elected office. This includes but is not limited to campaign endorsements, political fundraising events, or statements or advertisements that advocate for a particular candidate or political party.

Commercial Interests: Announcements for events or activities that are primarily of a commercial nature will not be promoted. This ensures we continue to serve as a community newsletter and not as a tool for advertising. 

Submission Process
All announcements must be submitted through the newsletter announcement form two weeks in advance of the newsletter being sent out. The newsletter is currently published on Thursdays.

Altshul Leadership can, at their discretion, decline submissions that do not meet these guidelines or request that they be edited so that they meet our guidelines.
